Diamonds? Really?
I am drawn to Goop because of the quality of the guests interviewed. I’ve learned so much and often go on to read the books the guests have written. I don’t love Elise’s interview style, but I can appreciate her earnestness and curiosity. I’ve struggled with the sponsors such as Ketel One and the cocktail culture that’s highlighted. I feel like the Goop brand is so geared toward the Uber-rich, with their expensive personal care products and the outlandish ticket prices for the In Goop Health Summits. But, again, the guests are great. But now? Hearing Elise hawk diamonds with her schtick about minimalism and buying yourself a diamond to celebrate a special milestone? Come on. Talk about the rarefied world of the rich. I wish you found sponsors whose values were more inline with those of your guests.

Although I love Gwyneth, the Goop lifestyle has never been on my radar. I gave this a listen and I was so impressed by the interview and the topics discussed. Listen to this podcast if you want to feel happiness/love/humour. Can't wait for next week!Read full review »
