Great 80’s rooted British RPG gaming nostalgia
Or at least that’s how it starts. Dirk and his Rules Lawyer (Blythy KC) delve into various 80s games from the days before the Deep Freeze of the 90s, a warm and gently witty exploration that also touches on various other elements of 80s UK nerd-dom. But it’s their ongoing re-engagement with the hobby, exploring what current gaming has to offer, that really brings it to life. Highly recommended, with an impressive selection of guests from the industry across the seasons too. If you remember White Dwarf before it was a miniature catalogue and D&D didn’t have editions yet (and have a vague curiosity about whether it’s still as fun as youthful memory suggests) you’ll find lots to enjoy here. Lovely.

Podcast based on 1980s Northern English RPG nostalgia, well-delivered with self-deprecating humour. Excellent.

I've died so many times in the Hollow and Balastor's Barracks, listening to this has me ready to supply more bait for gorp or Whiteye. Well...Read full review »
