In this episode Laura talks to Anthony Hobson (an internationally renowned clinical GI scientist) about SIBO or Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. This is a condition in which there’s an excess of bacteria in the small intestine which can lead to symptoms which overlap with IBS. SIBO is often misdiagnosed and treated, so in this episode Anthony explains the science and physiology behind the condition, and provides expert opinion on the correct diagnostic procedures and approaches to treatment.
