Listen!
I love the idea behind this podcast, but the reality is the host seems to struggle deeply to just let his guests speak. He asks a question and answers it himself. He eats up time summarizing what the guests are saying and ends up taking more time away from the listener being able to hear from guest. He does much preaching to the choir. If the host really begins to study listening techniques and begin a radical practice of simply listening while allowing space for other voices, this would be a fantastic show.

As a homeschooling mom and a writer, I don’t have many natural opportunities for listening to podcasts, but this is consistently the first one I turn to. Listening to writers talk about writing (and life) is encouraging and frequently makes me want to pick up a pen again. Highly recommend!

Excellent podcast for writers, or anyone who wants and needs to create. The conversation is full of real-life wisdom and concrete techniques for better wordcraft. Rogers is a great interviewer and his guests are eclectic, approachable, and wise.
