“The premise is intriguing so I plowed through the whole podcast. The narrator seems interested more in their personal lives in a way that could be detrimental to their professional careers. She is persistent in a way that is extremely intrusive to their personal lives and brushes over any sort of relevance to science. She is insistent about calling and physically tracking them afterward in a way that doesn’t seem to come from a scientifically curious place with good intent. Content did not try to get at their actual scientific experience except for a moment when something almost medically dangerous occurred. I am not sure why or what exactly gave me this impression but her narrative does not seem to come from a empathetic place to a point where I was cringing and embarrassed of these professionals. Confronting someone about the negative thoughts that other members have about them seems insensitive after enduring such an undertaking. It leaves a sad taste in my mouth because this podcast idea is a genius idea with such potential. I hope she does this with other NASA groups and can come from a different heart space. On a another note, I am of the minority who did not mind the chewing sounds this really bought to light the narrators depiction that this experience more resembled space camp then a sci-fi adventure. I enjoyed those thoughts.”
