Do not listen to this man!
I occasionally listen to this podcast, but now I’m disgusted and feel the need to call him out; if only in a review that no one may even read. Robert Duff volunteered the info. that his wife has attempted suicide in the past. In episode 296, he also shares that he and his wife are “non-monogamous” and starts blabbing about his recent break up and something about an emotional bond and trying to apologize… and that’s when it all made sense. There were episodes in the past where I thought he wasn’t giving good advice to cis women, or I felt his attitude on a sex and relationships seemed a bit off. This is why I would never see a male psychologist as a woman. No one will ever convince me that being married and in an “open relationship” is anything but Misogyny and emotional abuse by a different label. Men have been cheating on their wives and otherwise abusing women under the guise of psychology, psychiatry, science, etc. throughout history. I would not be surprised if his wife’s mental health is the result of an emotionally abusive relationship with her husband, Robert Duff. All the signs are there, straight from his own mouth. My hope is that other Women will wake up to the cruelty that even “good men” can inflict on them. I believe in science and I’m not religious, but I suspect that a lot of modern psychology still isn’t evidence based and causes harm as a result.

This podcast is down to earth and easy to relate to but still has the weight of a professional behind it.

I understand podcasting is a business, but the frequency of self promotion is wearing thin, I'm used to ads but not used to the host reminding their listeners that they are an author, etc. If that doesn't bother you, it's a good podcast for information to help you understand others...Read full review »
