You missed the mark on a listener question about voter ID and disenfranchisement.
In Texas for example, student ID’s and native reservation ID’s are not considered acceptable proof of identity, but a handgun license is considered acceptable proof. In Arkansas, measures to make standard voter ID’s free of charge have failed, keeping barriers in place for those who can’t afford the fees. These are just a few examples of ID laws disenfranchising voters, not including exact name matches which disproportionately affect voters of color.”
