Used to love it but became too preaching, forced and frankly boring
I can’t listen to this podcast anymore and I used to love it. I was probably one of their first listeners back then when they weren’t so famous. They had such a fun chemistry and they used to talk and joke about absolutely everything. Their banter was so natural and fun, it was contagious and used to make my day really. Right now they’re completely different people. They just preach about whatever topic the social media had declared “important and timely” that day. Even their book selections and tv recommendations became just “timely” and “important” and “empowering”. That is it. Forget whether the books or the tv shows are actually good. It just has to be “important”. They have lost all the natural flow. You can actually hear it in their voices how they try to constrain themselves and they’re so afraid of saying the wrong thing and getting canceled. This level of self censoring is too tiresome to listen. I still like to listen Dolly’s interviews in other podcasts. There she sounds like her old witty self. They really need to lighten up.
