“I’ve been a massive fan of the podcast and listened since Pandolly, buy pretty much everything they recommend because I know I will love it. However, the podcast seems to have lost its way. There’s so limited chat about current affairs / the low and now we just get book or song reviews that are a bit too earnest. Don’t get me wrong, I studied English I love books, but it isn’t what I come to the podcast for and to be honest I struggle to finish the episodes these days. It used to be a fun escapism and like you were chatting with friends but the chemistry between Dolly and Pandora seems to be strained and the personality lost. I understand the desire to protect their lives from the beast that is the internet but hearing about their day to day was a great way to connect and created that intimacy that is lacking. They also seem scared to offer any opinion anymore for fear of backlash which is another reason it can be hard to connect. Please bring back some of the old magic!”
