Gripping podcast
Absolutely legendary podcast! I‘ve always wanted to learn more about Roman history but I found the literature too dull however Mike’s narration is done in such an encapsulating way. It’s extremely well rehearsed and he doesn’t get sidetracked or bogged down in boring and minute details that would’ve caused me to stop listening a long time ago! He sheds light into the machiavellian nature of those cunning, treacherous Emperors (and usurpers) that I never knew existed in ancient times. Memorable episodes were the Punic wars, the life of a Roman and the crisis of the third century. I cannot imagine the time and effort it took Mike to research and put all this together. Sad that the journey is over but I‘ll be tuning in to Revolutions next.
