Welcome to the Hospitality Center Podcast, a show dedicated to sharing authentic stories from international students and fostering connections and understanding in our local Minnesota community and beyond. The Hospitality Center exists to share the love of Jesus Christ with international students and scholars in the Twin Cities.  We welcome international university students and scholars arriving in Minnesota and connect them to our community of volunteers through meals, events, and practical resources in order to meet their number one need—providing a sense of belonging.  Our podcast host, Melissa, serves as a mentor and "second mom" to groups of local international students in addition to providing dedicated housing for them near two college campuses. She enjoys learning from and helping international students whenever she can and she hopes today's podcast inspires you to connect in some way also!  On the podcast, we delve into the experiences, challenges, and triumphs of these remarkable students hailing from all corners of the world.  In this episode, Melissa meets with Scarlett from China and hears her funny story about pizza her first night in the U.S.!
