Description
Hello and welcome to yet another exciting edition of The HourTime Show, the official podcast of WristWatchReview.com. Your hosts this week are John (@johnbiggs on Twitter), Victor (@vmarks) and Nicholas (@nicholasadeleon). Victor and Nicholas open the show with some doom and gloom. Grocery stores are empty, prices are going up, and watches are unaffordable. It's all a little weird, if you ask us. The meat of this week's episode was prompted by a recent article by Jack Forster over at Hodinkee (via friend of the show Alvin Cheung) regarding how watch prices have gone waaaaay up compared to, say, 10-15 years ago. John joins the pod right around here to explain how things were back in The Day, where you could buy a Speedmaster for like $2,000. Those days are gone, leaving people like Nicholas who are new to watches and don't have thousands of dollars to drop on run-of-the-mill divers shopping at brands like Steeldive and San Martin. There's a bit more to the episode, but that's about it. Thanks once again to Andrew Haworth for producing this week's episode. Keep it locked to WristWatchReview.com and @wristwatchreview on Instagram for more fun watch content. Thank you for listening, and have a great week! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/the-hourtime-show/support
