Eye opening in today's world
I greatly struggled with doubt because I questioned the status quo of the modern church and how my life as a Christian and others around me didn't look like the early Christians of the Bible. When one day I realized how my own pride and sinfulness made me just as sinful as the Pharisees, I was shook to the core. Everything I mistakenly mistook as faith in Christ began then to be slowly stripped away. As painful as this journey has been, it has also been beautiful, because now I understand all must be stripped away but Lord Jesus Christ. After beginning to listen to The Humble Skeptic podcast, I understand it is ok to continue to question where my faith is resting, and that the object of my faith, the Lord Jesus Christ, and His finished work in His perfect life, death, burial, and resurrection is what saves ... Jesus alone, the way, the truth, and the life. Thank you.Read full review »

I became familiar with Shane when he was a member of the White Horse Inn. I really appreciate his perspective on faith and the gospel, and his ‘man on the street’ interviews add urgency and depth to the topics discussed.

Very high quality production makes this podcast easy to listen to. And the questions and ideas expressed will leave you thinking long after the music fades.
