Love the story and the delivery so really am enjoying it. However the one thing that doesn’t lie well is that the producer uses very soft language to describe this disgusting act. Words like violation and abuse undermine the act of rape and actual bodily harm, plus much much more for these poor...Read full review »

So well researched and presented. The difference in empathy and approach to journalism in comparison to similar American ones is stark.

This podcast highlights an area of reproductive health rarely discussed openly, infertility. It’s a flashback to the 1980’s when the stigma of infertility was far greater, to the extent that many children born using in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) were never told of their origin. This was also a...Read full review »

This is just mind blowing to me! Being a woman who faced infertility and visited a doctor to help my husband and I conceive, I can’t begin to imagine the pain and betrayal these families have felt after this discovery. Great research and content.

Compulsive listening, an appalling situation dealt with sensitively. Question; why was money never mentioned at any point, either amounts paid to donors or fees charged to patients?

Excellent podcasting, this emotional story is told with a lot of class, not tabloid style sensationalism, it really tells the stories of these narcissistic egomaniac doctors who abuse their power.

First podcast I have ever listened to, absolutely brilliantly portrayed I was gripped. My heart goes out to those families. Xx

Listened to this when running. Unbelievable this could really happen and feel for those affected. Brilliant journalism and narrator.

I think this was full of great reporting except the super donor episode where are you clearly missed the mark on asking the obvious question as to why the donor was fit to be a donor considering the reason he was donating in the first place.

Listening to this on my walks. Totally engrossed in the story. Can’t wait to listen to each episode. What a dreadful doctor; families will be haunted by him forever.

Not my usual podcast fare, but this is an absorbing, fascinating and disturbing tale that is well researched and presented in a compassionate and thoughtful manner. And great sound design. Well done guys.

The story is fascinating, but the way it is edited and executed is more manipulative than I care for.
Bug Humbah via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/07/20
This series is interesting, but is very disorganised and lacks any real journey or development other than “isn’t it awful this happened?” (Which, of course, it is).

As someone who is struggling with infertility and pursuing the egg donation route to parenthood, this podcast has been absolutely fascinating to listen to. So well put together and such an important subject.

Meh
Interesting story but all the content could fit into one episode. A bit sensationalized.

I am real drawn into this documentary on a subject I had known nothing about , some of the interviews are heart rending. The production team seem empathetic in their pursuit of the story

This podcast might have worked better had people been interviewed in their mother tongue; this might have added depth and clarity to people’s stories, too — too often I get the impression that the extent of their experiences and the complexity of their feelings and emotions aren’t really coming...Read full review »

It’s very well produced. It is not too dark even though it is a show about purposeful medical malpractice. I’d say it’s the perfect pandemic listen for anyone into medical/true crime but wanting something a bit less intense due to all the stress. It has lots of feel good moments even though the...Read full review »

This is a strange and extraordinary story, and the podcast is very well produced. It’s much more than a crime drama: fascinating questions arise about ethics and the relationship between people and their parentage.

I’ve been looking for podcasts to help me get through the working from home and isolation. I’ve tried quite a few and I listened to all these episodes through consecutively. Worth a listen.

Started listening to your podcast and enjoying so far. Must admit Louis sounds like a robot and someone who gets his kicks from giving sperm. What terrible deceit to have been going on for years by an evil mastermind manipulator and his associates.
