Noise meditations? That's rich. Maybe actually work hard and put together a real show? Just a suggestion, what with you being a podcast and everything.Read full review »

Really well researched, relevant, weird and fun content with excellent production.

Excellent show, with an offbeat tone, nifty music, and a quirky host. The guests and subjects are truly only to be found here, and Canada’s art worlds - past and present - are surprisingly rich and strange. This is a totally unique listen, always.

The Imposter is a great podcast. The latest interview with Alanis Obomsawin alone was worth the $120.00/yr I decided to send to support CANADALAND. I visited Pier 21 in Halifax recently and learned about riots in Saint John NB between 1840-1860. Irish ( mostly Catholic) immigrants fleeing...Read full review »

I have actually had to turn this podcast off on multiple occasions because an interview was so funny that I started laughing uncontrollably in public and it was embarrassing. I have learned about more compelling voices in the arts from this show than any other source. Aliya’s interview style is...Read full review »

I loved season one, Aliya is refreashing and intelligent. This podcast opened up so much about canadian art I was unaware of with cool music to go along with it. Season two is more of a journey that I am happy to hear about every week. THANK GOD ITS BACK <3

l love this show. The host is super smart and real and the guests are not the ones cycling through all the other shows and magazines. If you want edgy and under-the-radar, check out Canadaland's 'The Imposter'.

I wish there were more arts and culture media out there like the Imposter. It's agile, smart, careful, and attuned to contemporary conversations and debates. It's accessible without being too simplistic or naive (this is especially important at a time when few folks Canadian media know...Read full review »

A good analysis of culture and the arts, but there is way too much heterosexual white male bashing. Yes, the white patriarchical nature of society in North America needs to be neutralized, but that doesn't mean taking every pot shot possible against heterosexual white males, many of whom are...Read full review »

Always think it's going to be a bit too esoteric then BAM I get hooked. And start to talk about "what I heard on imposter" with everyone. You do not need to have an interest in Canada, art or Canadian art to enjoy this show.Read full review »

I love this show. Not your typical Arts show, and so much more intelligent because of it. Great and diverse artists covered. A clean approach to interviewing that really lets the artists shine forth and keeps the interviewer in the background.

I really enjoy this podcast. It introduces me to a lot of cool concepts in a very casual way, encouraging me to learn more about them on my own and connecting me to artistic & cultural phenomena to which I would not otherwise be exposed. Finally, a Canadian arts podcast that is actually fresh and has lots of diversity in the programming, which is so important. I hope it grows! We need this in Canada!

I have to admit that I was a bit put off by the format at first, because it's pretty different from the other, more serious Canadaland shows. But once I got into it I really like it now. Even if it's artists I'm not interested in, the interviews are genuine and listenable. And as a...Read full review »

I love the Lido Pimienta interview, and the diversity of topics you choose. You have a habit of not naming interview subjects on the show though - you might want to think about that. I still don't know who any of the people in the Drake episode were.Read full review »

Jesse Brown's podcasts have been uneven since the beginning but The Imposter almost feels like a parody of CBC's Q, only without the humour and Charisma of Shad's interview style. Maybe it's time for Jian's comeback Jesse.Read full review »

Interviews with people that aren't introduced. A real need for editing. No introduction to guide you through the audio. The listener is pawing in a dark room hoping to find something they care about. I didn't.
