Daydreaming is TOTALLY normal of course! But what if you have a pattern of zoning out when big, uncomfortable, or unsafe feelings arise, to the point where you find it hard to stay in your body?  What does it mean?!! In today's episode, I'll talk about why we dissociate and my Inner Child approach of how to deal with it. Episode Highlights: A lot of kids who have experienced trauma while growing up escape into fantasy or daydreaming, as a way to cope with their unsafe or uncomfortable realities.Dissociation can happen to people who grew up in abusive, chaotic or passive-aggressive households.Dissociation is a symptom of the wounds that you endured growing up such as neglect, abandonment or gaslighting. Remember that "we cannot deal with symptoms in the same way that they were created." This means that we cannot gaslight, criticize or abandon ourselves even more as an attempt to try to get rid of it.Want even More?
