Amy Meraki is leading a wild and sexy revolution for women to find freedom in their body. How is she doing it? That is what she will talk about as today's guest.
Amy is a Holistic Sexuality Coach and she helps women to heal, feel pleasure, and manifest their lives’ deepest desires into reality. She hasn't been empowered and positive her whole life though. She went through a period of self-healing removing the blocks on her sexuality and creativity, and like a phoenix, she rose from the ashes. She then decided to serve other women to achieve the same results towards empowerment in their bodies, lives, and relationship through coaching.
Some of the topics we covered on this episode include:
How we met and what’s a ‘Fuck you exercise’. (03:26) Being bullied and slut-shamed at a young age. (06:58) The impact of the experience on her life choices, beliefs, and relationships. (11:25; 21:38) How dancing gave her the freedom she needed to overcome her shame. (17:51) How shame and rejection caused her to disconnect with her sexuality and pleasure. (22:59) An empowering relationship that served as the catalyst for the change in her beliefs and life. (25:26) Setting boundaries as a go-go dancer and dealing with men's energies when she's performing. (28:18) The concept of sexual shame for both men and women, and finding compassion to celebrate everyone's sexuality. (32:27; 39:00) The idea of accepting our authentic selves and it's many layers, and relating it to how we perceive others. (37:17) Amy's idea on light and shadows and how it manifests in different aspects of ourselves. (40:32) What is shadow work and how it allows greater understanding of our humanity. (45:20) The role of self-love in distinguishing between healthy and unhealthy expression of sexuality. (51:59) Amy's brand of somatic-based coaching that allows self-love, compassion, and healing to take place. (55:14) Her invitation for people to embrace and explore their sexuality. (1:01:50)
I absolutely appreciate the insights Amy provided today. Especially the one on seeing both the light and shadow perspectives.
