An audio documentary game-changer.
Ira Glass has a famous phrase, ‘Radio is your most visual medium’. Here, in your digital pocket, is exemplary proof. The Invisible Hand is an amazingly vivid and brightly coloured soundscape: visions of a secret war taking place in a faraway paradise are paired with incredible academic insights and perhaps, the best soundtrack I have heard on a podcast. It feels like the host, Georgina has found out everyone’s secrets. The interviews on the ground are rich and confessional. We hear from voices that never frequent Western digital air waves. The stories they tell are damning and profound. I loved this podcast and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Please, please send Georgina out again with her microphone because we are all very ready for season 2.
