An even keeled story
While I wasn’t sure this podcast / documentary was for me. Wow it really drew me in. Very informative and and excellent investigation into both sides or views of the situation. Which should be applauded. As a white Australian it made me have another perspective on everything we don’t really think about. While I am all for animal conservation I can also say that people need to survive. We are the ones that have forced the western lifestyle on to many countries. Giving them no tools to succeed. Yes the word people hate colonialism.

Gritty, on the ground insights into animal conservation, colonialism, race and poverty. The first time I’ve ever had to consider the real human factors driving this trade and heard from those involved to understand it from all sides.

I’m loving listening to this beautifully executed podcast. It is personal and sensitive and the topics explored are so important in the context of what is happening in South Africa at the moment. Congratulations to the team
