An increasingly boring experience.
I've listened from almost the very beginning. But, in the past year, I find that I'm only listening to 10-20% of the episodes. I trace the downfall of the podcast to Joe's decision to become #SeriousPocaster, letting Redban go, and becoming a foot soldier in the crusade against SJWs. Too many repeat guests who don't deserve to repeat (Mike Baker, hunting buddies, alt right blowhards...) Duncan Trussels of the world were replaced with the Jordan Peterson's of the world. He still hits it out of the park on occasion. But, overall his interests are too narrow and he's not intelligent enough to have serious discussions. He could do more interesting things with such a giant platform, but he seems intellectually lazy. A Sam Harris sycophant. To be fair he catches heat from both the left and right. But, perhaps that shows how intellectually adrift he is. Maybe Matt Staggs shares some of the blame for the garbage guests. He sure does seem to be fascinated with right wing nut jobs. Oh well, gotta keep those checks coming in I guess. Keep selling them Onnit placebo pills!Read full review »
