The ONLY Podcast that makes you smarter - every day.
I stumbled across John Batchelor during a late night drive from NY to TN several years ago, spinning around the radio dial. His odd/unique delivery caught my ear. From that one hour of listening I was hooked. Mr. Batchelor's long-form show allows him to explore topics much more thoroughly than others, yet he keeps it interesting. He is passionate about his topics and about getting the listener interested. It's like listening to the best of the WSJ every night - by a broadcaster who is crisp, informed and interesting. Better than anything on PBS or NPR. Also - his book reviews/author interviews are amazing. I don't think I'd ever use the words book review and amazing in the same sentence, but it's true. I never pay attention to book reviews in the paper - However, Mr. Batchelor has a way of interviewing authors that draws you into the most interesting aspects of a book. Even my 15 year old son likes to listen to Mr. Batchelor's author interviews - and I can hardly break him away from his xbox! If you ever need a testament to Mr. Batchelor's abilities - that's it! Do yourself a favor, subscribe to John Batchelor's podcasts now, and listen for a week or so. Fast forward past segments that don't interest you, but give his podcast a try. You will be hooked.Read full review »

John has a great format and does interesting interviews. It's like a History, Economics Lesson or Class that provides an interesting angle, that you don't get from the lying biased main stream media. His show uses critical thinking.
