Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where we’re mining a very old gem - Aziz Mirza’s RAJU BAN GAYA GENTLEMAN (1992).
Starring a very young Shahrukh Khan and the freshest, most beautiful Juhi Chawla, watching Raju… is like stepping into a time machine. With a classic Nana Patekar performance and a fiery Amrita Singh to provide pizzazz, Raju… brought back quite a few memories for us.

Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where we’re travelling back to 2008 to discuss GHAJINI.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, this Aamir Khan starrer was the original juggernaut that sent Bollywood into a tailspin about the money it was minting. It established the 100 crore club and forever changed the way we talk about the movies in Hindi cinema.
Co-starring Asin and Jiah Khan, this was the remake of a very successful Tamil movie and it also set the stage for the “southification” of Hindi action movies for the next decade. Given its impact, how does it hold up? Join Asim, Amrita, and Sujoy to get the lowdown.

Ep 226- Madgaon Express and Crew Review
Support Khandaan Podcast on Patreon from 1$.This week's bonus episode is about some nostalgic Amitabh Bachchan movies!
Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where we’re enjoying a rare week of happy movies.
First, Sujoy and Amrita watched MADGAON EXPRESS, a slacker comedy that delivers more than its trailer promised from debutant filmmaker Kunal Kemmu. Starring Avinash Tiwary, Pratik Gandhi, Dhivyendu, and Nora Fatehi along with a strong supporting cast, this is a very confident debut for Kemmu as a director.
Next we all fell in love once again with Kareena Kapoor (and Tabu and Kriti Sanon) in CREW. From the stable of ace feminist producer Rhea Kapoor, this Rajesh Krishnan directorial was funny, sexy, and promises to be a giant hit. Co-starring Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Khulbhushan Kharbanda and others, this was the perfect weekend watch.

Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast and our nostalgia-driven discussion of 1995’s RAM JAANE.
Just kidding - we had zero nostalgia to invest and for good reason it turns out. Starring Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Vivek Mushran, here’s a movie you can be thankful we watched so you don’t have to.

Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where we’re back from our impromptu break and how!
First, we discuss the Ambani pre-wedding shenanigans by popular demand. Next we talk about some of the current releases — Richie Mehta’s POACHER; the controversial documentary THE INDRANI MUKERJEA STORY: BURIED TRUTH on Netflix; the new anthology LOVE STORIYAN; Dharmatic’s own SHOWTIME; and of course Kiran Rao’s LAAPATA LADIES.
We also discuss how excited we are for THE CREW starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.
Amrita and Sujoy also have a little Malayalam corner where they discuss Amrita brainwashing Sujoy into watching Mohanlal in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s MALAIKOTTAI VAALIBAN and Mammooty in the historical horror drama BRAMAYUGAM. Amrita also watched current blockbuster MANJUMMEL BOYS.

Engaging, interesting relatable
I connect with the group of people well, brings me my childhood memories of watching Salman Khan movies since MPK. Salman Khan is my connect to Hindi cinema and the language Obviously I understand Asim feelings better
I like this podcast
I enjoy the banter and the diversity on this show. I liked it enough to go on Patreon but sadly I found the paid content was not worth my $
I feel as if I'm hanging out with friends
I am so happy to have found this podcast and especially that it's in English. Each episode makes me feel as if I'm hanging out with my movie buddies. Not only is it entertaining but I learn so much about Indian culture and Bollywood politics, plus about living in Belgium.
