“Great storytelling—but sound design needs to tone it down a little with their Marvel movie-esque approach. Oftentimes with audio drama less is more; build the atmosphere subtly and immersively, don’t club us over the head with it. I also found that for a physical action/event-heavy plot, some segments were too solely reliant on sound design and didn’t incorporate enough dialogue or verbal exposition to help the listener understand what was happening in the moment, which led to occasional confusion about how exactly the scene was unfolding.”
