This is the second consecutive Australian podcast that seems to be missing at least a summary or last episode as it seems to stop mid story. I get that there is no more info after multiple walks through the bush and looking into missing homeless people but after episode 6 I waited for episode 7...Read full review »

I still relisten to the episodes every so often. David Murray remains my favourite podcaster. I really hope 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 he does another follow up episode on the findings and where to from here…

I was thrown out of cheeky monkeys in 2008 when I was backpacking. I’d had 1 beer, had just bought my second and was just stood chatting - there was no pre drinking this night either. (I remember because I was hungover and struggling to get back on the ales) A youngish bouncer sort of hovered...Read full review »

Such an intriguing case and excellent podcast. Investigative but balanced. I’m actually quite obsessed with this case now and really want to find out what happened. This podcast definitely sheds more light on the circumstances of his disappearance than what police have offered thus far. I hope...Read full review »

Theo is still out there… I doubt through his own misadventure. Someone was with him, or someone met him, either way he’s still missing and we can’t always blame a shark… sometimes there’s vultures that walk as humans… it’s been 3 years and his family has no answer. I feel so bad for them, and for...Read full review »

I feel terrible for all those involved especially the victim and his family. The information is given with respect to all involved. The inclusion of the indigenous prayers, customs, etc was really cool and led to me reading more abt their culture, so I appreciate that as well. I hope the family...Read full review »

Wonderfully told while respecting that Theo’s family, and the community, are still searching for answers.

Great podcast, I recently saw Theo on the new, the police is asking for anyone who might have info to come up, why is this happening now after such a long time? Is there new evidences that can help find him?

Loved the podcast

Looking forward to more episodes reporting the proceedings of the new NSW government inquest, especially all about the details of the police investigation that the podcast barely mentions.

David Murray is absolutely brilliant. My heart goes out to the Hayez family, I cannot imagine the pain and the agony have been through and are going through.

Guy gets drunk, gets lost, falls into the ocean. 6 episodes of people pretending that the blindingly obvious isn’t blindingly obvious.

I binged listened to this podcast. The level of detail and information shed an entire new perspective on this story for me and it’s a shame there’s not more podcasts like this. I really pray Theo’s case reaches a conclusion soon to bring peace to his family and all those involved in the search...Read full review »

this is an in-depth look at a locality and a community, with a vanishing at its heart. really well made, moving, informative.

It doesn’t feel right to say how much I enjoyed this Podcast due to the terrible tragedy that it is. Was well researched and extremely interesting to listen to. Well done to everyone involved. My heart breaks terribly for Theo, his family and friends.

Overall an interesting story with great focus on modern tracking technologies. My heart really goes out to Theo’s parents. I think this podcast though could be a bit tedious and distracted on some of the interviews, especially with the homeless population angle and the “spiritual” individuals....Read full review »

The search for the lost backpacker in Byron Bay Australia is both heartbreaking and uplifting. I absolutely could not stop listening. This is a fantastic podcast that brings these people to life, and tells the story in a spellbinding way. Deepest condolences to Theo’s parents who lived in...Read full review »

Once I started listening I was hooked on this podcast. It is very well presented. It is intriguing and made me think of many questions I had which were nearly always addressed later on.

Great podcast. Hoping they find Theo for his family to have some kind of closure 😢

I cannot say I enjoyed this because it is just too sad a story, but it has been really well produced and it is very well presented. I thought I had a good understanding of this case before I started listening, but I just didn’t. Very informative and interesting. Thanks!

I really hope there is some resolution to this case

Absolutely riveting, with some much work done by so many people. Thorough, yet fruitless. Using current technology to help track Theo’s movements was brilliant! I truly hope there will an answer one day. Excellent work to all those involved🌺

I made it through 5 episodes and part of 6 until I realized I’d only been half listening because it’s so tedious, repetitive and boring. Could have been done in three episodes without all the trudging through the bush. I take it they did not find him. I do feel terrible for his family. He seems...Read full review »

I live near Byron so I remember the week he went missing and the memorial that happened just recently at the lighthouse. Everyone was and still is really sad about his disappearance. I hope they find him soon.

All the repeated information could of been condensed into 1 episode. Such a sad story. 7 hours of listening to very similar details. A little frustrating.
Podfarm via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/13/20
I was really looking forward to this podcast. But found it infuriating. In regard to Theo’s intoxication levels, you take the word of a Belgian backpacker - who had by his own account been drinking all afternoon; over the professional opinion of a sober man - who’s profession it is to judge a...Read full review »

I really enjoyed this podcast and so wish there was a happy ending 😢 I hope a memory is jolted or a conscience pricked as a result of this, and more information comes to light. Thinking of Theo’s family and friends.

I listened to all 6 episodes in one day, this is an amazing podcast. I really hope this helps bring attention to his case, the Hayez family deserves answers. I met Theo during my travels in Aus, he was kind, and incredibly mature for his age. My heart goes out to Theo and his family.
Samgar92 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/05/20
Beautifully presented. From this podcast you gain a real sense of actually being there but of course you’re not and having the frustration of not being able to go out and help search for this young man........

I put doing other things on hold just so I could listen to this podcast right till the end. The story was so thrilling even though I knew that at the end of it, Theo would still be missing. Would’ve be good to actually be able to see all the information on the website ie location maps etc without having to pay a subscription fee. Hope you continue to work with the family to get Theo’s story out there and found. I’d suggest taking the paywall down.

Strictly speaking as a podcast I found this very slow and repetitive as there is minimal evidence but so so many questions. On the other hand I enjoyed hearing about how the family began to retrace Theo’s steps the night he went missing. Not as gripping as the last 2 Australian podcasts but it...Read full review »

Unfortunately I found this too boring to continue. I really wanted to like it - the story needs telling but it also needs to be engaging and this is far too drawn out with too much unnecessary info and input from very random people
