As a seasoned Lone Ranger, this always makes me smile

This is a well-produced, and frank podcast. The host knows how to interview and pace her show, and her guests are knowledgeble, perceptive, and compelling. Highly recommended, if you experience lonliness or are interested in it as a more abstract issue.

I very much enjoy listening to each guest share what forms of loneliness they experience. For some it may be due to mental health and others living a life so unique from their peers. I can identify with something from each guest. More often than not I actually feel more uplifted after listening...Read full review »

I love the exploration of this topic - loneliness. And I especially appreciate the episode The Representative. The subject is ABsolutely correct - as a Black American I AM indeed re-thinking my value and worth in this country. His comments are valid and so appreciated, on point and fact based.

This is a very strong podcast and delves into aspects of loneliness that I never even considered before. It gives me warmth. Even if you don't think you experience loneliness often enough, listen to this and you will be surprised. It can help.

Julia Bainbridge hosts an outstanding show about a universal topic. We can all relate to isolation and solitude. This show gets into the very heart of the matter, and the byproduct, coincidentally, is something that brings us together.

Refreshing and smart, Julia's voice creates a mood that evokes a naturally relaxed and pleasurable listening experience. There is always a new avenue to take and or approach about loneliness. I am curious as to where I want this to take me. Looking forward to this next season of the lonely hour.

I have been in NYC for 15 years now but remember getting here like it was yesterday. I was broke, jobless and above alI, absolutely lonely. I was crippled. When I listen to this podcast I can only think that had I had it then, I may have had an easier time. I highly recommend this.

Well-made series on topic whose importance is surprisingly topical in the social media age. The hype is that social media creates improved community and connections. How wonderful to hear a writer I admire, like Will Chancellor, discuss the elemental solitude of producing a novel. Not all of loneliness is sorrow. I appreciate the personal contributions to this oft-considered dilemma. I'll be tuning in for more!
