“This podcast is bringing the depth of the intellectual life of Christianity back to the surface. We have dumbed down Christianity for too long. What’s beautiful about Lord of Spirits and other ministries is that they are restoringwisdom that seems to have been suppressed for a long time. The fundamentalist view of scripture made the Bible a laugh to me, and for years I had a hard time getting over that image. This is one of the podcasts that I see as re-telling the story of salvation for our times. The hosts have literary, scientific, and deep Biblical knowledge. The fact that they talk about other literature, Greek, Roman, etc - shows that the Christian faith has a wisdom that goes beyond our worldly understanding today. Christianity, when the Bible is read properly, can stand up to any scrutiny, from this century or any other century. This is how we must be teaching the faith today, not with coloring books or skipping over the hard parts. People are smart enough to handle it, but it must be articulated well. Keep going guys!”
