The constant asides and jokes are a real roadblock for the show
I love LoS. Really, really do. I recommend it to everyone. But I have lost count of how many people who LOVE these topics have told me they can’t stand the show because of the constant rabbit trailing. To be honest, as a millennial, I don’t understand 95% of the pop culture allusions and they add zero value to me. I get that the team behind LoS has sometimes seemed a bit defensive against these comments—but honestly, it’s a roadblock to so many people who try to listen but do not have the time to wade through the rabbit trailing. The actual content of the show is about 45 minutes of great insights you can’t find on any other podcasts. The rest of the show is rabbit trailing that makes it hard to even focus or retain the content in the podcast because it is so distracting. I hope the fathers consider this feedback because I know it’s probably hard to hear and even easier to deride. Complaints like mine are a trope at this point in the LoS FB group. I hope it will be heard and understood though from a listeners’ perspective.

I was raised in the Baptist church, and I currently attend a Protestant non-denominational church, but why have I never heard much at all about...Read full review »

My priest recommended the works of the two priests doing this podcast. Their written and on air works are excellent for all Christians though with an Orthodox view. You will not regret listening .
