I find horror podcasts very hit and miss. Most of them can feel very cheesy and over the top. The Magnus Archives greatest feature for me is that it's willing to be understated and let the story speak for itself and not let sound effects and "creepy noises" do the work. Wow. What a podcast! Loved it from minute 1. The cast do a capable job but the writing, production and direction - world class.
