That deep 🇬🇭Ghanaian music you never heard - A KooKusi Special

That deep 🇬🇭Ghanaian music you never heard - A KooKusi Special

Music enthusiasts have elected another budding messenger for the Ghana music scene.

KooKusi is a burgeoning recording artiste who seems to be weaving through the socially-compelling path about life’s lessons through storytelling.

The musician first went viral back in July 2021 with a freestyle.

A year later, he released an extended play (EP) in February to give industry watchers more reason to consider him as one to watch.

‘5Foot3’ is his debut project which has received far-reaching applause since its release.

The themes underpinning the 5-track EP span mental health, social media addiction, insecurity, self-confliction, and religion.

It is a project of call-outs as podcast hosts, Kenny and Nassy delve dig in with the artiste in a Zoom conversation.

#VGMA23: Outliers of the ‘average’ show with new competition

#VGMA23: Outliers of the ‘average’ show with new competition

KiDi won his first-ever Artiste of the Year Award at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He beat stiff competition from Black Sherif, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie and Joe Mettle to emerge winner.

KiDi also swept away some of the biggest awards on the night especially with his hit song ‘Touch It’.

But the event itself was considered by many as basic with very little wow factor, especially in the face of new competition from the 3Music Awards.

With that being said, the enthusiasts invited onto this episode had varying reasons why they loved the 2-day show and what could have improved the whole makeup of the awards scheme.

Gambo's despicable attempt to fondle a presenter, Black Sherif's 'Teletubbies' attire and Famaye's songwriter award are a few of the things discussed.

Guests, Elvis Amponsah, Evans Konadu and Seth Tetteh Larbi.

Host: Nasiba Yakubu and Kenneth Awotwe Darko

Overpriced Accraaaaaaa! - Ohia ne nkwasiasem?

Overpriced Accraaaaaaa! - Ohia ne nkwasiasem?

Hike in prices in Accra has become a topic, especially for the youth in Ghana. It spans from goods and basic services, recreation, and real estate among other things. Some have raised concern about this seeming overpricing and its impact on society at large. But are these concerns justifiable or it's just an excuse for low-income citizens to enjoy undeserved luxury?

Today, Nasiba, Kenny and Cornelis dissect this!
