Fillers & Phonemes
It's challenging to listen to this podcast due to the constant i.e.in every sentence, usage of Fillers. 'Like', 'ah', etc. are verbal ticks that can be quite annoying to some listeners, so bothersome that listening to such commentators becomes impossible. I notice I'm not the first to mention this, my question then becomes; why do these podcasters continue with poor public speech? Wouldn't one want to excel in their chosen profession or is it enough for some that they do it at all? Simply slowing down or pausing can bring great improvement to this frustrating tick. At least no one says 'you know' constantly which is my least favorite filler, as when someone is telling a story or giving an explanation, I honestly Dont know. Professionalism has never been something to avoid and it puzzles me as to anyone's obstanance towards personal excellence. Perhaps I'll check back in a month or so and see if this podcast has become more tolerable for the listener.

For the past few years I have been trying to simplify my life, but all I found were lists of what pieces of clothing you should own and advice to meditate for hours at a time. Jessica and Melissa are both insightful and open about their lives and...Read full review »
