“Katie… Thank you so much for your amazing podcast on teachers today… I was a kindergarten teacher for 35 years… And LOVED my work… It took patience… Honesty… Intelligence… hard work, and dedication… when I graduated in 1973… You could NOT find a job as a teacher… Because they were so many teachers. Fast forward to today -and they are “begging“ for teachers… Putting them on “fast track“ degrees…Bringing them from other countries… It is absolutely a huge problem for our country today… teachers must worry about school shootings… Pressure from administration… Pressure from parents… It is an extremely stressful and “thankless” job! I am extremely concerned about the future of our country and its most “precious treasure”-Our children! Maureen”
