Michael has also served as the Secretary of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection and CEO of the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service as well as Deputy Secretary for Strategy in the Department of Defence. Professor Rory Medcalf is Head of the National Security College at The Australian National University.
