Deconstruction Safe Haven
Been deconstructing for a while, but have been timid to really dig into God’s word, I think because I am afraid I will have to lose my faith. I relate so much with Tim’s admission of vacillating between “burn it down!” and “maybe there’s hope?”. I’ve stepped out of the ring for so long, scared to make a wrong step. Tim’s story and the community he is building have inspired me and given me hope to re-engage with the Church and my spiritual walk with God in a new and exciting/terrifying way. Thanks for sharing these real stories, for having these raw and authentic and messy and difficult conversations. It can be so lonely while deconstructing, even with the internet. This podcast feels like a safe place, even while I am challenged to think and research what is discussed. Keep doing the good work, despite the backlash. Thanks for prioritizing God’s love for his people over laws and religion. We need this. The reformation is happening and it’s starting with us, right here. God bless. -Rae from VA

Tim does a great job bringing in diverse guests to discuss thought-provoking topics. He allows for a spectrum of beliefs and people in different places of deconstruction while creating a healthy, nonjudgmental community for conversations to take place.

Content here has been incredible! Love Tim’s ability to give room to have conversations - genuinely wanting to hear other people’s perspectives. It’s a rare trait. Even then these conversations end up threatening people who aren’t able to see past their own perspective. The church as a whole...Read full review »
