Tune in for the Crime, Stay to Learn Why It's Exploding
If you want to follow the downward spiral of Mayor De Blasio's crap leadership and the catastrophic results that it has produced, you have to listen to this podcast. Some may argue that the podcast used to only discuss crime. Not really. It's always been about New York City Crime AND its causes. De Blasio, the inept City Council and they're bafflingly large group of supporters have concocted and enacted a myriad of dangerous policies, from bail "reform" to the dissolution of the plain clothes unit. Mr. Dixon and company clearly track the effect these measures will have, to include the dizzying increase in violent crime. Or what listeners may refer to as subject matter. Mr. Dixon is clearly invested in the city of New York - he's lived in it for several years and his tone has taken a decided turn in the last several months. The city is dying, and the damage done since bail reform was enacted and from COVID will take years to undo - if those catastrophic consequences can be undone. Watching your adoptive city turn into a cesspool must truly be distressing, and he conveys it in a way that few can. His guests bring something to the episodes as well; Seth Barron remains among my favorites. His analysis of the consequences of closing Rikers in episode 450 remains one of the most informative predictions of the coming calamity these policies would bring to the city. If you want to get a sense of what is truly going on in New York City, about the damange that communist mayors and their ilk can wreak upon a once great city, this is a must-listen. Even if you don't care about New York, bear in mind that history repeats itself. Listen, understand the downfall, and avoid it in your own future. By the time you realize the demise of your own home is occurring, the damage may be too much to undo.Read full review »
