A master class in reading and writing
As an aspiring writer, I get so much out of the discussions of the stories. It’s fun to see which stories are meaningful to which writers, and I enjoy getting a curated taste of the New Yorker’s vast back catalogue. As a lifelong reader, this is pure pleasure. A book club without any of the work and with zero people who skipped the reading and are just in it for the wine (not that there’s anything wrong with that!)

More reviews of The New Yorker: Fiction
My only wish is that there were more, the stories are interesting and well written. They are performed perfectly. I love this podcast. When a new one appears in ITunes, I drop everything I am doing and I listen. Sometimes I listen to the stories more than once.

I'm not a New Yorker reader & stumbled upon this podcast. It captivating in a different way from This American Life (Chicago) in a New York way. If you're from NY or a similar urbin setting, this podcast may through you off a little. Enjoy.Read full review »
