“I don’t know that any of the people on this show would be terrible individually, but hearing them talk all together makes me feel like my brain is melting. Their conversations are vapid and too young and there’s nothing to balance it out. Even though Nick is older, he just panders to them. I enjoyed the reality show talk when it first started, but I really don’t care to hear about every single housewife show. I wish they would get back to talking about some topical events in a more in depth way, not just skating over the surface and getting on to the next basic conversation. Also the research into topics is just not there like it used to be. Half the time when they talk about a topic, most of them seem to know nothing about it and the person who brought it up (usually Justin) seems like they read a headline and repeated it without reading the article or doing anything else.
We’re getting less and less all the time with this show. No more Ask Nick updates ever unless you subscribe to Viall Files plus (which was just casually dropped in a recent episode with a condescending “we know you understand.”) the interviews seem to be solely reality tv people now, and are rarely thought provoking.
I’m not going to hop on the bashing Natalie train, but the balance is off with the co hosts. It seems like everyone just sits around talking about nothing or agreeing with each other. Ali and Amanda always seemed well researched and like they cared, despite being on the younger side. I think a hosting switch up needs to be considered because this just isn’t working.”
