Zane is a writer who is dear to my heart and for sure tout me and my friends that there is nothing wrong with sexual desire. Thank you for bringing her onto the podcast!

Still my favorite podcast ❤️ truly a treasure even after its ending

A cheap knock-off of The Read for white people who don’t know better (The Read). No one wanted this show, we wanted Sampler, Reply All, and the Read. Now, at the end of the Woke Olympics, we just have the Read. Thanks for all you’ve done for podcasting LOL.

Not a fan of the male host or his style.

Cancelled due to a lack of interest. Now they want to take other shows down with them.

I used to love this show but since the Quibi deal the episodes are too short. There’s just not enough time to have the kind of thoughtful discussions I used to come to this show for.

This show opened my eyes to so many things we don’t learn in school! From unsung heroes to deep dives on pop culture this podcast was everything! So sad it went to a TV model and couldn’t stay as both, idk! Miss you soo much Britney and Eric

I just found the podcast after listening to Uncivil. This is fantastic! Original and overlooked stories and so fun to listen to - I’m laughing with them during each episode. Bingeing Now!

Found this podcast just after it ended. Love it. Great presenters and a range of topics keep it consistently engaging. So much joy and love in each episode. Well worth listening back to.

For the two years I have listened to this show. Thank you for unapologetically being and celebrating black culture. I have learned and grown so much from this show content. I miss ya’ll.

Been rocking with Brittany and Eric ever since For Colored Nerds and they continue to outdo themselves. I thoroughly enjoy the stories of the little know black figures and stories that I would probably have never come across on my own. This show is hilarious, informative and full of gems. Super happy to have discovered this podcast from reading the previous review I didn’t know you all are ending this podcast but have been enjoying binge listening and will do the same with For Colored Nerds 🤗🤗

I started listing to this podcast late 2019 and soon discovered the show was ending, at least in this format. It was sad news, but I’ve really enjoyed the in-depth conversations and pursuit to understand the culture.

I’m devastated to hear that this show is over! The banter between Brittany and Eric is hilarious and fresh and the topics on this show have enriched my life and my history. Thank you the Nod for the laughs and the tears

You were one of my favorite podcasts. I’m so sad for me and very happy for you. You were an important part of my real American history education. You taught me a lot. Thank you.

Using curse words as adjectives, or adverbs is seriously disheartening. I would expect and appreciate educated Black Americans to rise above the use of cursing language. It is your personal choice but you would not want a younger generation to follow your example of language. Rise above, as...Read full review »

There seems to be plenty of podcasts that cover the U.S. unjust treatment of people of color. But I haven’t come across many that celebrate black culture in such a direct and intentional way. How about we take a break from our soapboxes and take a moment to find the humanity in all races and...Read full review »

Got recommended to your pod while talking about Watchmen on Reddit. Still in the middle of the podcast and the big race empowerment in the show is so bold. I picture the average fan of the Snyder movie and the hardcore comic fans (like myself, 30ish white dude) having a lump in there throughts....Read full review »

The Nod just feels like the best home. It’s unapologetically Black, without bashing any other ethnicity, but it is clearly FUBU. If anyone else wants to come along, they’re welcome, but it reminds us that Black is everything.

This discussion with a Watchman writer was so needed to unpack or affirm what I thought I was seeing in this extraordinary series on HBO. Excellent discussion.

Just heard the first good for the blacks on Jay Z’s album, and really think it’s weak to continue to portray the message that blacks can’t succeed or participate in the capitalistic system. Yes we have historically, and many cases continue to be, excluded; however, we are at a point in time to...Read full review »

The Nod is my favorite podcast! Eloise Westbrook and all the peanut butter chronicles are excellent. I’ve listened the Oprah’s Legend Ball episode three times. Love, love, love Brittany and Eric!

I came to The Nod as a listener of For Colored Nerds (Brittany & Eric’s original, independent podcast). I loved FCN and really wanted to love The Nod but it’s just not as good. The content on this show seems watered and dumbed down in comparison. It’s just not as interesting.

This podcast takes creative to whole new level. Such a niche area but it’s insane the stories that are shared on this podcast and what a listener is able to learn. I feel Blacker just by listening. I’ve listened to EVERY episode of this show. As a result, I’ve learned about people and events that I had never heard of in my almost 36 years of life. Each episode leaves me wanting more! Thank you for teaching me and so many others about important facts and figures we may not know about otherwise.

Lots of internalized anti blackness on this episode from the male host. You really needed to do a whole episode on proving a Black school was capable of basic education? I’m glad you got humbled.
