I enjoy the topics and information but for a short podcast there are way too many commercials.

I did only listen to a couple of episodes but in the one she talks about how cereal isn’t bad for dinner like we think I myself find that to be unhealthy to promote as cereal does contain not only a ton of sugar and dyes but some are made from fillers which have no nutritional value

Well-balanced, fact-based research. Opinions on everything from diets to foods to popular myths. I love this podcast!

Room for debate on how animals are treated. Really? The dairy industry has paid off everyone. Lost my trust-unfollowed.

What a wonderful podcast! It's chock-full of handy, realistic suggestions to help everyone improve their eating habits. I absolutely adored the episode "Are we Eating Too Much Protein? Or not enough?", it truly reflects on the importance of feeding our bodies correctly. It's...Read full review »

Great practical advice and delivered in a very understandable way. Love your analogies and reasoning. Benefit of finding you late is that there is a huge archive to listen to while waiting for new episodes. Btw I am a questioner too and that may be another reason why I love your format and...Read full review »

Love having this podcast in my repertoire. Monica is so well informed and is not beholden to any large corporation so I feel that her research represents an unbiased opinion. She covers so many topics and issues - an invaluable resource.

I’m learning so much! And I love how she dives right in. And I love her clear voice. None of the annoying chatter and fluff that characterize so many podcasts.

No fear mongering here. Basic, sensible, nutrition advice on current food issues.

S’s (need editing). There is animal consumption promotion w/o warnings regarding the dangers to humans and the planet from factory farming. It could be helpful to listeners also to offer more healthful alternatives to eating animals. Otherwise I love the show.

Good content but the “s”s are so sharp it’s like nails on a chalkboard. You need an audio filter or a new mic or different mic settings. It’s too distracting, I had to turn it off.

I’ve been listening to this podcast since the beginning. I love the evidence-based approach, but also she doesn’t talk about nutrition as a one-size-fits-all thing. I love that she also encourages people to to discipline and good habits with moderation and non-fanaticism. A balanced and sane...Read full review »

My first podcast was about pandemic weight gain. I chose it because I gained weight during the pandemic. I was thinking there might be some insights about why it happened and how to make changes. Nope. It was just a lotta talk about how the news articles about the topic were hyperbole and people...Read full review »

Though I’ve only listened to a few of the episodes I feel the presentation is submissive to alternative treatments that may be very helpful by taking a small part of the treatment plan that may at first seem unpleasant and characterizing the entire protocol with that minor part. Each episode relays so much information in a short period of time. I’ve learnt so much from this show! And not fads and “health coach” ideas, but scientifically-backed facts.

Literally sounds like the entire podcast is scripted/read from Wikipedia. She lists facts (credible source, unknown) every single podcast. And Ads. Ads. Ads. A new sponsor every episode. Would give no stars if I could. Probably the worst podcast I have listened to

The host mentions that the source of sugar doesn’t matter and only the amount matters, well I am a food science professional and it’s well known in the industry that added sugars definitely is more harmful than natural or raw form of sugar. Just started listening to this podcast and am already at least 30 episodes in. I love how short and concise they are, while still providing lots of facts and statistics.
KirstiLouise via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/01/20
I listened to what was an 8-minute episode. During those 8-minutes, she talked about 3 separate ways to spend money in ways benefitting the show. That’s excessive for 8-minutes....the content was maybe 4.5-minutes.

Love these bite-sized, easy-to-understand nutrition tips! Concise and useful!

This podcast is so interesting, and there are soo many episodes to choose from. Sometimes I’ll listen to 3-4 at a time. Great for those who are trying to live a healthier lifestyle, or at the very least motivating.

I used to really enjoy this podcast - now she talks so fast (recent episode on fibre is a good example) - too hard to understand. Podcast has become a waste of time.

I’ve listened for years and still do. Useful content-comprehensive yet economical in terms of time. But over the years the ADS!!! Too much time spent on ads that are too long for such a short podcast. 8 minute podcast, almost 4 minutes of ads? Tighten that up, bruh.
Toto321 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/18/20
Waste of time. Mainly advertising.

I feel the show was more informative and unbiased in the beginning. Now it feels like the show sold out. And the ads.... So brutal. I just unsubscribes with sadness. I used to love this show.

The information is interesting. While I understand the need for revenue through advertisements, it is annoying that 1) they interrupt already brief podcasts and 2) of the several I listened to, it is odd that none of her advertisers were healthy food makers. At least half of the podcast is advertising. No thanks! The information provided in the podcast is useful, but the benefit of tiny nuggets of knowledge imbedded in huge amounts of advertising is not worth my time.

Love learning with this podcast. Long time listener. Only one reason it’s not 5stars: about 25% of the podcast is ads. That’s a lot for an 11min podcast!
