The Power of Knowing Your Identity with Benjamin Lundquist

The Power of Knowing Your Identity with Benjamin Lundquist

This is part one of a short series sharing some presentations by Benjamin Lundquist. In this episode, Benjamin shares his thoughts on the power of knowing one’s true identity. He talks about how easy it is for people to forget who they are because of what others have spoken over their lives and emphasizes that there is only one person who has the right to name us, determine our worth and value, and give us our identity. And that is God. He encourages listeners to claim their identity and worth as reality over their own lives, even if they don’t feel it. Benjamin also shares his own experience of how he has anchored his identity over the years, going back again and again to what God has said about him.

A breath of fresh air

I don’t usually listen to podcasts on spirituality—I figure one sermon a week is enough. 😆 But I recently discovered this podcast, and after finishing the first season I can say I highly recommend it! It is spiritual without being preachy, and practical without being dry. I appreciate how the hosts share about their own struggles so that I don’t feel alone or inferior. Listening to this podcast is like a refreshing breath for my soul.

Life Changing and Insightful

I really loved listening to this podcast especially the episode that death with living life with meaning. The concept of overflow was brought up which I found interesting and insightful. I had never thought about how God in his infinite love and grace blesses us with an abundance, an overflow, that is very hard not to share with others. In sharing in the blessings that God has given us with others we are fulfilling the gospel and sharing the love of God.
