Based on the first episode, which is exquisitely produced, this will be a fantastic, smart and dramatic investigation into one of our best American filmmakers. I particularly appreciated the witty, chummy and respectful interplay between Bogdanovich and TCM host Ben Mankiewicz. This is a must for any cinephile — and it has me going back to look at some old Bogdanovich classics. I can’t wait for more of this season and for more stories about great filmmakers in future seasons. TCM continues to make exceptional content.”
