Absolutely fascinating podcast, based on research. Love it. Also, I wish all podcasters had a melodious voice like Robert Burris.

I really enjoy listening to this podcast. It is constantly updated with forefront research presented in an amicable and straightforward manner. It seamlessly makes the difficult job of combining serious academic research and academic dissemination. Thank you.

Whenever I show friends this show I ask them if they know anything else like it. Concise and easy to digest explanations of interesting research without dumbing it down. I really love this show. I opted to donate $120/year on Patreon because I think it is so great.

When I first started listening to podcasts, mid 2015. The first ones I subscribed to were those which centered around Psychology, my favorite topic. In the App Store there are not that many that center on psychology. Effectively making this podcast one of the better psychology podcasts. The...Read full review »

EXCELLENT podcast if you enjoy psychology and science, as well as a bit of fantastic British cheekiness! …Also Robert Burriss is every bit as sexy as his voice sounds! You can look him up on the webpage :-)

Burris really knows how to make his episodes interesting and personal. He chooses good topics and nicely summarizes the research (great for students). One of my favorites podcasts.

This is one of my favorite podcasts. Whether we like it or not, gender, and specifically attraction, affects every area of our lives. This podcast focuses on studies and research that explore the science behind why we act the way we do. I like the humorous delivery of this serious, intriguing...Read full review »

It's quality science presented in a listenable way. But it has a huge problem: why does it assume that everyone is heterosexual? It gets really tiresome to keep hearing that "men like women who ---" and "women are attracted to men who--" Oh, really? This discourse is nonsense for gay an lesbian...Read full review »

Great podcast, one of my favorites, caters to my shallowness and preoccupation with British accents. The research is well presented with his humorous twist

Excellent presentation of issues in evolutionary psychology that address physical attractiveness. Should be mandatory listening for teachers, parents, and many others. As the saying goes, the wise must bow to the fair. Listen to this podcast and learn why!
SFKeepay via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/05/09
Interesting, but short, pieces on (you guessed it!) the psychology of attractiveness. Unfortunatley it only comes out about once a month, and are short. Beside those small negatives it is a very proffesional sounding podcast, and an informative take on (what I find to be) an interesting subject!

It seems “the beautiful people” tend to have an unfair advantage, but why? This podcast discusses the research and speculations as to why that is so. Its quite interesting stuff.

Informative, to the point, interesting and fun. The podcasts are short but contain all the relevant information you'll need to wet the appetite on the psychology of attraction and steer you towards new and interesting studies.
