After many personal struggles I have worked at finding the key to bouncing back and improving my own personal well being, self love, joy and connection. In this podcast I will talk about the, how to and examples of how others have bounced back from trauma, divorce, loss of job, family breakdown, personal breakdown and lots more. The resilience muscle is what we need to work on and just like any muscle it has to be worked consistently to stay strong. Don't drag your sorry self into 2024!

Don't drag your sorry self into 2024!

It's that time of year, you know, that time where if you were fortunate to have a break then you at some point will be returning to work, your job, your business your passion hopefully.
If you are already back at work and hating it, this message is for you.
There are some really simple strategies to help you get ready to return to work or your business without feeling dread.
One of the ways is to be sure you have enough rest, and you can feel like you have recharged. I don’t know about you but I reached the end of the year exhausted, fatigued from stress and really need a break, in fact day one of my 2-week break, I got sick, so sick that I couldn’t do anything, this wasn’t a coincidence I can assure you, I probably knew unconsciously that I was going to crash and burn and if I didn’t I would have kept pushing through.
2023 was full of amazing opportunities, and great achievements for all and it was also one of the hardest years of my career that I had experienced in some time. You see I had a plan, it was a great plan that would change lives, not only my team's but our client's lives and ensure they can build a better future.
By December I knew I needed a break so I could come back to work fresh and achieve all the plans we have made back in 2023 for 2024/2025.
Those of you that have a job and spend every day at work hating it, get a grip, or should I say a new job, you aren’t stuck so stop spending 40 hours a week doing something you hate. If that’s where you are going to stay, then start getting grateful for what you have and so on a daily basis.
I am grateful for my job as it …..fill in the blanks
Even if you think you hate your job there is always things to be grateful for.

    Ladies, It's your future!

    Ladies, It's your future!

    Season #8, Episode #5
    Ladies, It’s your future!
Why is there an increase in homelessness for women over the age of 45? Maybe because we didn’t think divorce or separation was possible however, there is a considerable increase in women and children facing homelessness and poverty due to the family breakdown, or a death in the family. The reality is when I was raising children and looking after the home, I wasn’t thinking about my financial future or my career path, I was raising babies.
Between 2011-2021 there was an increase of 40% for women facing homelessness and poverty. No matter how young you are or even if you are in your 40’s start thinking about your financial future its never too late.

Menopause - I can see the light

Menopause - I can see the light

    Season #8, Episode #3
Menopause, I can see the light.

This podcast is in no way advice for what you should do, I am not a medical doctor nor any kind of specialist in menopause, this is only my journey and I want to share hoping you may feel less alone in this journey.
These 2 years of menopause have been horrendous to say the least, from moments of rage, to being in tears in a corporate meeting, I felt like a crazy person. Anxiety hitting me like never before and bouts of such severe depression I wanted to drive my car off the road.
After much deliberation and trying everything possible, I have started on estradiol and progesterone, and I feel like a normal person again only after 16 days on the new regime. Now the tablet is the solution it's not a quick fix, it's still up to me to eat well, sleep well, and don’t drink alcohol or if you do it's minimal and only occasionally. I take more vitamins than I thought possible and take magnesium daily.
I feel like a walking health food shop, I feel joy again, and I am laughing again (always at myself) and I am pretty certain my family feel like they can breathe around me again. It was truly awful for them just as it was for me.

How writing in my journal has changed my life.

How writing in my journal has changed my life.

    Season #8, Episode #2
How journal writing has changed my life.
I have been writing in my journals for a long time, however it has changed of late and I want to share with you what’s changed and how this will bring my children some joy after I leave this earth.
Whilst reading these journal pages will sometimes be hard for them I am writing letters to them which I hope bring some laughter and not just tears.
20/05/2023 – Gratitude (an excerpt from my Journal)
I am deeply grateful I have all my bits and don’t pee myself when I cough or sneeze…
I am deeply grateful that this week my hormones feel more balanced and I don’t feel like punching everyone in the face.
The year of menopause will bring them to tears with laughter but also give them some insight into why I seemed crazy at times and sad on other days.
I hope you enjoy this podcast, more importantly I hope you start to journal.

A crisis to move through, the housing crisis hitting Australians hard.

A crisis to move through, the housing crisis hitting Australians hard.

    Episode Notes
    Season #8, Episode #1
A crisis to move through and to move on from.
The housing crisis is in our faces, its everywhere, on social media in the news and hitting everyday Australians and they are suffering. Its not until you are faced with this crisis do you realise there are others less informed on how to represent themselves and fight for what’s right.
In this podcast I share my story and help you understand how to take back some of the control that you can and let go of what you have no control over. Mostly that is other peoples behaviours.
If you are facing being unfairly evicted seek free legal advice and don’t go though this alone.
