U.S. show hurts the brand
As a US citizen who finds TRiP essential listening for the matchless incision wit and charm of its hosts, the American version does not carry the brand. The fact that in America a “Scaramucci” is literally a joke on par with the Liz Truss lettuce is no accident. The fact that this moron blowhard could go from being a demogog mouthpiece to a thrower of brickbats at the same does not add credibility to him, it just equates him with a windsock. Hearing him mansplain to Katty Kay and speak as if he has some profound insight into the American political zeitgeist would be laughable if it were listenable. Sorry, “the Rest is Politics” but a wilted lettuce cannot be revived for ANY culinary purpose. Zero stars

More reviews of The Rest Is Politics: US
Yet another US only podcast because the rest of the world is irrelevant. Americans seem incapable of not constantly talking about themselves. Now they are coopting others to help make media even more monocultural. He was Comms Director for…..10 days. The Liz Truss of Comms.

I’m hooked on this reliably-sourced and well-balanced analysis of the Trump/Harris battle. Great pod chemistry too. A worthy sibling to TRIP UK.
