The podcasts featuring Bill Simmons are fantastic...
I'll start by saying that I appreciate all the hard work that has been put into this segment by Bill and his Ringer staff. That being said this podcast isn't the same without Bill Simmons, who's hilarious when featured (I'll note the exception of Danny Chau's NBA Lottery episode which was fantastic!) Once ESPN let our beloved Bill Simmons go I thought he would go in a different direction. His recent Ringer deals has seen an over-reliance on sub-par Ringer personalities and a newly found dedication to pop culture which is taking him away from what many loved about him as a sports writer. The NBA podcasts which feature only Ringer staff without Bill Simmons are difficult to listen to, and the fact that Bill wasn't present on the podcast (on the day before the NBA finals) is a joke.Read full review »
