Bite size Rob - less murderous than it sounds. Just discovered Rob so I’m a bit late to the party but he is an absolute talent and I’m grateful for his musings that make me feel less alone in the world.

Rob Auton has made me cry (in a good and thoughtful way) more than any other writer. This podcast is wonderful and if you want to feel human in a way you’ve never felt before you should listen.

Some days I hear you and you make me laugh. Some days you make me think. And some just make me think about laughing. They are all appreciated!

Lightly philosophical musings on everyday life filled with intimate observations at once familiar and chucklesome. Thank you for sharing your words Rob.

Rob exposes his surprising and insightful view of the world through a short, unpredictable and often delightfully amusing poem each day. A unique podcast which enriches my daily feed.

When people in the future say, “Urgh! Do you remember 2020 😱?”, I will reply, “Yes! Rob Auton released a podcast everyday, and it was a joy.”

Just like his live shows, the daily podcast is whimsical, thoughtful and funny. This is a gentle voice offering a chance each day to think about some part of the world in a new and unusual way. The length is variable, but just right, i.e. not so long as to become an obligation, but lengthy enough...Read full review »

Each day to listen to these wonderfully funny, smart and heartbreaking pebbles. Quirky and at times magical. Thank you Rob, these are beautiful.

Do yourself a favour and take time out to listen to these nuggets of wisdom. The beauty in the banal with an edge of dry observational humour, like your funniest friend at the pub. Thank you Rob for sharing your take on the world.

I would like to say that it is the highlight to my day but I actually like to save a few episodes up and listen to more than one, so I'll say it is my twice a week highlight.Read full review »

What a warm and wonderful collection of tiny treasures await the lucky listener. Short bursts of lyrical thought bubbles that prickle the brain and tickle the emotions. Everyone has a few minutes each day to bathe in these lovely little pools of humanity, so dip your toes in right away.

Melancholic relief a chance to think of the little things that are probably more important than we think... Thanks Rob

Every episode is like a beautiful morning meditation. With wit and sincerity, Rob reminds us what’s important, and how to savour the magic that surrounds us. Listen to this on the way to work and it will change your day.

I’ve put the effort into listening to many podcasts over the years, but few are as original, funny and thought-provoking as the RADP.

Fantastic, funny and wonderfully read. It’s as if you’re allowed in to the back rooms of the Rob Auton museum of poems. There might not be enough space for all of them in the gallery so he’s walking you round the stores, hand in hand, showing you everything he wanted you to see if he had enough...Read full review »

The title of this review has been shamelessly stolen from Scroobius Pop who interviewed Rob recently on his own excellent podcast - ‘Distraction Pieces’ - it perfectly summarises what is so great about this show; it offers a daily shot of Rob’s genius and creativity. I started listening to Rob at the beginning of January and now really look forward to my daily dose of Rob’s thoughts and reflections. Wonderful

Rob Auton’s way of looking at the world gives me hope that things are going to be okay. I save the episode for the last thing I listen to before I try and sleep and it makes me feel a bit better no matter how bad a day it’s been. Everyone should listen.

A beautiful little daily dose of words Has made me both laugh and cry so far, and has been a consistently bright thing in a somewhat, otherwise tough January - I await its evocation and excavation of my other externally expressed emotions
mailliwoo via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/22/20
These little gems from Rob are a great way of making up for the fact that I only get to see him live about one a year. Funny, reflective, sometimes deeply emotional. Listen to it.
Jikahn via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/22/20
I’ve loved starting every day in January with Rob’s podcast. I often listen while I’m still in bed, when it’s still dark and I can feel the cold outside my duvet, and it provides a lovely, imaginative few moments that put me in a good headspace for the day. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
