“I am appreciative of the work being done here. Humans work best when there are checks and balances. Due to the rise of the mega church and the celebrity preachers this check and balance is being thrown to the wind. This subject needs to be looked at with a critical eye—bearing in mind the purpose in doing so is to be as Jesus modeled: Loving. I think she is doing so. Keep it up That said, I wondered why you made a point of saying “I’m not a feminist?” You are where you are because of feminism. You can vote, you have property in your own name, you are no longer considered “et ux” legally. You have this podcast and can speak your own mind without fear. You aren’t under the control of your husband, etc. Here is the definition of feminism according to the Cambridge dictionary: the belief that women should be allowed the same rights, power, and opportunities as men and be treated in the same way. As the old baptist hymn I sang hundreds of times while growing up says: “In Christ there is no east or west, in him no south or north, but one great family of love throughout the whole wide.” I see affirmation is Jesus’s life and works that support feminism.”
