Loved it

It’s clear they stole the idea and tried to make it take off. Thank god it didn’t. The Horror virgin is superior to this piece of trash. Gimlet do your self a favor and pull this cringe.

But leave Gimlet and don’t invite anyone else from Reply All.

This makes no sense. There is little discussion of the movies. The premise feels fake and the discussion bears that feeling out time and time again. I couldn’t even finish the second episode. It was them just having a conversation about their own lives —- who gives a shot?

I’m on episode three and already know I need a second season. Hush, The Strangers, The Ritual; a terror season! Huge props to PJ for being terrified on behalf of all us scaredy cats. I enjoy scary movies now (hands over eyes when needed) but it took about a decade to get here.

I just listened to all five episodes within three days, and it made me realize, or remember, how much I love scary movies - both the cliché horror ones, but especially the genuinely frightening ones that are actually good movies. I was shocked by how soon you went to Hereditary, which is pretty...Read full review »

Loved this show! Huge fan of horror flicks and also a huge fan of PJ and Alex from Reply All. This was the perfect combination please please do more episodes, there are SO many more films to review!

One of the things I like best about Reply All is Alex and PJ’s rapport. In Reply All, the banter never overshadows the top notch reporting, but their charming relationship takes center stage in this podcast. I just loved this. I’d love to see more side projects like this.
amillionrachels via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/06/21
I died laughing, and loved the breakdowns of the movies. Seriously I just love anything these two guys do, but this is such a fun concept! I had the same experience with horror movies that Alex is hoping for PJ to have, I hated them and then just jumped in and now I’m obsessed. I would recommend...Read full review »

This podcast is awesome because lets me enjoy horror movies without having to actually watch the ones that are too scary for me! And PJ and Alex are so fun to listen to. I hope there’s another season!

Fun
So fun to listen to! Love the hosts from Reply All, was really excited to listen to this side project of theirs. It was way worth it! I hope they do more!

I LOVE reading about scary movies, or watching previews but that’s the extent of it. Your podcast is everything I need to experience a scary movie without watching it! Pleaaaase continue, and the hosts are so pleasant as well

Fantastic guests, thoughtful commentaries, funny and personal moments, great horror film selection. We want another season!

I don’t even watch horror movies or care much about them but this is good listenin’

PJ & Alex are great! Wonderful spooky movie selection and I love the way they walk you through each movie. If you like this you’ll love reply all.

As a Scaredy cat I wish there was more easing in. I have avoided scary movies all my life but have been a bit sad that there is such a blank spot in my pop culture knowledge. I love the idea of the show but only 6 episodes to go from exorcist to get out seems way to much too fast.
Megpcs via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 10/22/20
I’m a scaredy cat and this really inspired me to be brave and watch scary movies sometimes! Please make a season two 😍

Make another season or a spin-off off some sort
pbmckinney22 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/08/20
Alex and PJ obviously have a great rapport and chemistry, so the conversation is really enjoyable. The fun, though, is the journey and getting to explore what is scary about horror movies. As someone who avoids horror, in large part because the thought of being scared is, indeed, scary, I also...Read full review »

I get that making this podcast a regular thing is a huge asking, since you’ve a full plate with Reply All, but please consider bringing back the trio from the Get Out episode and putting together a few episodes for this coming spooky season!

I am absolutely terrified of horror movies and can barely get through an ADT commercial without fumbling for the remote. However, I love true crime and documentaries!! I can watch the real stuff all day! I don’t do well with suspense. I love when someone tells me every detail of a horror movie...Read full review »

Make another season! Such interesting conversations around, not just horror but the societal, psychological impact of art and film.

I hate horror movies, so when this popped up I didn’t intend to check it out. Then the first episode auto played and I heard Jason Mantzoukas who I adore. And then I listened to the first 4 all at once and realized that I was getting to know PJ and Alex in a completely different way than from...Read full review »

The perfect podcast for someone (like me) who grew up not liking scary movies. The hosts and guests treat these movies as pieces of art rather than just sole-entertainment. Love the fun atmosphere and new insights.

I love podcasts like this. If I can do a few movie recommendations: it follows, the shining, the howling and event horizon always gave me chills growing up.

I loved this. As a former scaredy cat who now likes horror films, it’s really interesting to listen to. Please keep watching films and talking about them!!

I love PJ and Alex so will listen to anything they do! Reply all is my all time favorite podcast but was excited when they did this. This podcast did not disappoint and was interesting to listen to.

I remember when The Exorcist first came out and people were really freaking out. I read the book first, started it in the evening and finished it in the wee hours of the morning because I HAD to make sure it turned out okay. I thought the movie was a sequence of cheap thrills because my...Read full review »

This is typically not the style of podcast I listen to, nor do leave a written reviews. This podcast broke all my rules and is the exception. This was a great podcast. I loved the format and the guest they bring in. I really want to give it 5 stars but I can’t because it was too short. They made it seem like they were going to go through all of these movies but they only did 5. I honestly feel cheated by that. Good podcast just...Read full review »

You like laughs? Me too! You like scary movies? Okay, not for everyone? Got it. Dip your ear toes into the Alex-and-Pj-plus-guests romper room of the haunted house of your childhood! I know there is a lot of horror review content out of there, but this show is doing it in a way that feels fresh. Holy smokes, I am gonna miss listening to this series. I too am a scaredy cat. I love horror movie story lines and the social psychology in them but I usually try to avoid feeling scared. I used to be a horror movie fan but the more realistic they became the less I enjoyed them. I found safety in the movies of old. Anything from the 80’s and older I enjoy.
