Varma has unfortunately right-wing views on economics, but he (a) gets very informative guests and (b) has the intellectual humility to know when someone knows more and is more interesting than him – a level of self-awareness unfortunately too rare in today’s media environment –while also having the interviewing skill to get his guests to say something that you want to listen to. Very worthwhile podcast overall that has significantly improved since its early days.
