“I started counseling in early 2020. When discussing my priorities in life, my counselor asked “where does self care fit into this?” My response was “it doesn’t, I just do it once in a while. But you asking that is making me think that it might need to be a higher priority”. After that session, my mind was spinning wondering what the heck self-care even was. I figured there might be a podcast that could help me figure that out. I was so incredibly excited to find this one! I’ve been listening in since the 4th week of this podcast and it has been so eye-opening and helpful in my journey to do the hard internal work and learn to fill my own cup. Lauren and Nicole are like big sisters, teaching me what forms self-care can take and reminding me bi-weekly to make it a priority. Your timing in starting this podcast was impeccable, like a sign from God that it was time for me to do the work. I’ve tried many of your practices. My favorites that I still strive to practice include face yoga, saying no, setting boundaries, and no complaining (this one helped so much at work and at home). Thank you Lauren and Nicole for being vulnerable, fun, and for guiding us to a place where we are equipped to be strong women!”
