Good idea
I like the idea but I have some issues with the show: 1) the audio, I understand the thought behind these "we must make it sound like a real tape"-audio engineering, but I'm guessing most of us listen to the show with earbuds or on speaker and it's f-ing annoying listening to degraded and crackling sound 80% of the time. It just becomes noise after a while and I forget to listen to the actual story. 2) the main role, the way he's been written with the constant hesitation and hmms and sighs etc 3) if you want someone to sound "manly" and have a deep voice, just hire someone to do it. You're straining your voice and it comes off as a teen trying to act tough.. "You've been listening to..the sheeeridan taaapes"...😄Read full review »

More reviews of The Sheridan Tapes
This podcast has been on my list for a while. Started listening today and can’t get further than episode one. The host won’t stop breathing heavy into the mic and it is beyond distracting. They are also trying to use a ‘podcast’ voice and it just isn’t working.

But what I got was a slew of amazing characters and emotional moments, I cried several times as characters described their love for their loved ones. The scares are great but the reason I stuck around was for the people.

Strong start then gets blah. Turns into a LGBTQ drama story. The story line was a good one but the voice acting became hard to listen to. The forced relationship drama detracted from the story telling.
